Suspected buruli ulcer reported at Elmina

Elmina (C/R), Mar. 1, GNA – Suspected cases of buruli ulcer have been reported in the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abirem District (KEEAD), in the Central Region.

Dr Samuel T. Kwashie, District Director of Health Services, said the cases were from Abrem Agona and Elmina while bilharzia has been reported in Komenda area.

He was briefing the Central Regional Minister, Mr Jacob Arthur, during a familiarisation tour of the district at Elmina on Tuesday.

Dr Kwashie urged the people to report all cases for medical attention. The Regional Minister asked them to maintain good personal and environmental hygiene at all times.
