Michael Kojo Agbesi, a 65-year-old private surveyor has committed suicide by shooting himself in the mouth.
He committed the act at about 0530 hours of Wednesday at his residence at Tsevi in the Hohoe Municipality.
According to a family source, the deceased was found in a pool of blood with the single-barrel gun lying beside the body with a mutilated face.
According to Mrs Mercy Agbesi, wife of the deceased, said prior to his death, Mr Agbesi was exhibiting strange behaviour.
Mr Kartey Otumi, Hohoe Divisional Crime Officer who confirmed the incident said the deceased body has been deposited at the local morgue for autopsy.
Meanwhile, Police are investigating the incident.
