Surveyor butchered to death, others injured over land

Information reaching Joy News indicates that one person has been butchered to death and another shot at Sota, a community near Dodowa in Accra.

Three other persons are said to have been injured when they were attacked by land guards.

The five were said to be a team of surveyors who were assessing some plots of land purchased by an estate developer.

The land, however, is said to be in dispute as two factions in the town have laid claim to its ownership.

The District Police Commander for Dodowa, Superintendent Segu Moses Alhassan, confirmed the incident to Joy News but was unsure whether or not the victims were attacked by land guards.
