Survey Result, A Wake Up Call For NDC

Although the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is sad about the result of the survey conducted by the Centre for Democratic Development (CDD) and a section of the rank and file of the party describing the result as bogus, the Member for Parliament for Ayawaso East in the Greater Accra region, Hon. Ahmed Mustapha sees it as a wake up call.

It has therefore urged the leadership of the National Democratic Congress to see the result of the survey as such. According to him, even though the survey was based on public opinion, the NDC needs to ask itself why Ghanaians would still like to vote for the NPP despite the current glaring economic hardships which the public think are the cause of the NPP government.

The result has pushed us to a tight corner in natural fact, but what we need to do as a party is to put our heads together now and present a convincing message of hope for the populate come 2008, he suggested. As much as the NDC condemned the survey, it must also consider what the CDD personnel captured on their questionnaires and study those areas so that the party can have a broad national agenda when it comes to the amendment of the party’s manifesto in 2008″, he said. He stated that Ghanaians are blaming the NPP administration for the hardships confronting them, so the results should not have favaoured them.
