Supporters of NPP and NDC clash at Sankore

Sankore B/A) Aug. 23, GNA- Police from Goaso and Kukuom have been sent to Sankore in the Asunafo-South District of Brong Ahafo to maintain law and order following a clash between supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Police told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Sankore that some NPP supporters, who sustained various degrees of injury, have been treated at the Sankore Health Centre and discharged.

Police said the clash occurred at about 0830 hours on Tuesday, August 17, when some NDC supporters were returning from primaries at Kukuom. No arrests had been made, Police said.
