Support ideas that will promote peace, development – Teberebiehene

Teberebie (W/R), Oct. 27, GNA- Nana Kojo Minnah, newly installed chief of Teberebie in the Wassa West District, has reminded the youth of the need to channel their energies into supporting only ideals that would promote peace and development.

He said they should take advantage of a number of programmes that had been created by the Government to earn decent incomes to enhance their lives.

Nana Minnah said these at a forum at Teberebie on Monday at which he was introduced to the people.

He said education; health, sanitation and employment for the youth would be high on his agenda to ensure sustained development of the area. Nana Adu Panyin II, Chief of Miase-Nsuta and Tufuhene of the Apinto Traditional Area advised the people to give their full support to their new chief and also accord him the needed respect.

Mr. William Donkor, Administrative Superintendent of AngloGold Ashanti (Iduapreim) Limited, pledged the company’s support to enhance the lives of the people.

He said now that they had had a leader in the person of Nana Minnah, his company would effectively involve the people in the planning of development projects.

Mr. Donkor presented cartons of assorted drinks and two million cedis to the chief and his elders. 27 Oct. 04
