Sunyani teachers agree to go back to the classroom

Sunyani, Oct 05, GNA – Striking teachers in the Sunyani Municipality on Tuesday agreed to go back to the classroom next Monday, October 10, after an almost two-week industrial action. The teachers took the decision at an emergency meeting on Tuesday organised by the Municipal Directorate of Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) in Sunyani.

The decision to resume work however did not go down well with the teachers and it took Mr Kwaku Asante-Nketiah, Secretary of the Municipal branch of the GNAT and other officials of the secretariat a hectic time to convince them to go back to the classroom. 05 Oct 05
