Sunyani Regional Hospital has no structural errors – Doctor

Dr Daniel Asare, Medical Director of the Sunyani Regional Hospital, on Friday refuted a media report attributed to him that there were structural errors about the new regional hospital in Sunyani.

Reacting to a Ghana News Agency story carried by the Chronicle on January 14, he said no such report had been forwarded to the Regional Minister.

”It is rather a positional paper on the current state of the new Hospital and preparations so far made to make it functional that has been presented to the new Regional Director of Health Services,” he said.

Dr Asare said it was going to be very challenging to maintain the about 260-bed capacity hospital but that notwithstanding, “management will have to develop and apply operational procedures to suit the architectural designs put up for the sake of cost effectiveness”.
