Sunyani records 39 Easter deliveries

Sunyani, April 11, GNA – Thirty-six births were recorded at the regional hospital in Sunyani during the Easter festivities. The Sunyani Municipal Hospital welcomed three new babies. Fourteen out of the babies delivered at the regional hospital were boys and the rest girls.

One of the three births recorded at the municipal hospital was a girl.

Madam Paulina Fosuaa, a senior midwife at the regional hospital, told the Ghana News Agency that nine births were recorded on Good Friday, five on Holy Saturday, eight on Easter Sunday and 11 on Easter Monday.

Mad Fosuaa appealed to pregnant women not to delay at home or with traditional birth attendants when in labour. 11 April 07
