Sunyani Coronation Park closed down

Sunyani, (B/A) Aug. 12, GNA – The Coronation Park in Sunyani will be closed down to the public with effect from Monday, August 16 till Wednesday, September 1, 2010.

A press statement signed by Mr Kenneth Kwameyiboe, Administrative Officer on behalf of the Regional Sports Development officer (RSDO) explained that the closure of the Park is to “enable management to put the field into good shape for the 2010-2011 National Premier League”.

The statement entreated the sporting public to co-operate with the Sports Council for the success of the exercise.

A heavy rainstorm recently ripped off part of the roof of the Park.

The Regional Co-Coordinating Council, Sunyani Municipal Assembly and the National Disaster Management Organisation have jointly donated 20 packets of roofing sheets to the Regional Sports Council to assist in the Park’s rehabilitation.
