Suhum (E/R), May 19, GNA – Residents of Suhum Ahembrem in the Suhum Kraboa Coaltar District have appealed to the district assembly to re-construct the bridge over the stream which links the community with the main Suhum/Kumasi/Accra road. The spokesman, Mr George Bekoe, told the GNA in an interview that the bridge collapsed a year ago.
He said the bridge, which served as the main route for most school children and pedestrians in the area, had brought hardships to the people. Mr Bekoe said due to the collapse of the bridge pedestrians have to walk long distances to their destinations. 19 May 09
