Suhum Church embarks on GH¢850 Project

Oda (ER), May 31, GNA- The Divine Healers Church in the Suhum Kraboa Coaltar district is spending GH¢ 8,500.00 for the construction of a mission house and a chapel. Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) shortly after communal work on the mission house by the youth of the church at Ayekotse, Rev. Godson Henry Ayettey, district pastor, estimated the project at GH¢6,000.00. He said land had been acquired at Suhum New Town for the GH¢2,500.00 church building which, when completed would accommodate more church members to help propagate “the word of God.” Rev. Ayettey said the Suhum branch of the church which was formed sometime in 1968 and was worshipping in a rented roofing sheet structure, adding that, there was no mission house to accommodate the resident pastor.

According to him the two projects were being funded through annual and mid-year harvests and appeal for funds and a pledge from the national headquarters of the Church. Rev. Ayettey said future church projects included a Day Care Centre at Aponapono and a Prayer Centre at Trio, all in the Suhum Kraboa Coaltar District.
