Suhum, June 28, GNA -Mr Michael Kofi Mensah was on Tuesday confirmed as the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Suhum/Kraboa/Coaltar District. He had 64 out of 65 votes, representing 98.46 per cent of the ballot cast by the assembly members.
Mr Mensah has become the first of the re-nominated persons by the President for the appointment as DCE in the Eastern Region to be confirmed.
Mr Yaw Barimah, the Eastern Regional Minister, appealed to the members to eschew bitterness, rancour, petty squabbles and sectional interests that retarded the development in the districts. Mr Mensah promised to operate an open-door policy and utilise the best human and material resources for the development of the district.
