Students unable to vote due to technical error

Hohoe, Dec. 7, GNA – Ten female students of Saint Teresa Training College at Hohoe, were unable to vote in the just ended elections on account of faulty processing of their transfer votes. The students left the R.C Primary School Polling station in disappointment after heated argument with the Election officials there. Mr. Prince Quency, Presiding Officer at the polling Station in the Bla Electoral Area in the Hohoe Municipality, said the transfer receipts of the students bore the name of one John Heh, while the signature was that of one Polycap Hiadzi, said to be officials of the EC. He explained that the receipts should have been endorsed by only one official and not two different people. A number of voters from the municipality also suffered the same fate.
