Students to pay reprographic fees

Accra, Feb. 17, GNA – CopyGhana, a subsidiary of the Copy Rights Society of Ghana (COSGA) on Thursday announced that students of the tertiary institutions have agreed to meet with them to finalise discussions on the payment of reprographic fee.

The reprographic fee is a charge to students of the country’s universities for the mass photocopying of textbooks and other literature materials for their academic works.

A statement signed by Mr Ben Nyadzi, CopyGhana Secretary, Mr Abubakari Forgor, National Union of Ghana Students and Yidana Frederick, Ghana National Union of Polytechnic Students said the meeting followed earlier agreement reached to submit proposals for consideration. It said CopyGhana Committee has proposed 10,000 cedis fee per year by each student of the University.
