Students present gifts to Asante-Mampong Babies Home

Mampong (Ash) Dec. 26 – A student group at the Christian Service University College in Kumasi, who go by the name “Achievers Family”, has presented assorted items valued at about GH¢675.00 in support of the Asante-Mampong Babies Home. The items, which included apparel and food items, were donated on beh= alf of the group by its leader, Miss Abigail Asamoah.

She said it was the contribution of the members towards helping to ma= ke the kids, enjoy some happiness especially during the Christmas. The Superintendent of the home, Ms Mabel Asafu-Adjaye thanked the students for the kind gesture and appealed to individuals and institution= s for more assistance. Established in 1967 by the Anglican Diocese of Kumasi to accommodate 25 babies, the home now has a population of 46. Ms Asafu-Adjaye said lack of the means of transport, dormitories and portable water are the main challenges facing the institution. 26 Dec. 09
