Students pray for Nana Addo

About 300 children who have graduated from JHS on Monday evening kept vigil with Nana Akufo-Addo, fervently praying for God’s favour and protection for the 2012 New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer.

The prayers were planned on the eve of the hearing of the case at the Supreme Court in Accra where Nana Akufo-Addo and other NPP gurus are contesting the results of the 2012 polls.

The sacred affair, held at Nana Addo’s Nima residence in Accra, was to draw God’s abundance grace and favour on him as he appeared in court the following day.

The historic prayer affair was organized by Free Education Now Prayer Group (FENPG) led by Andy Owusu. He has been organizing such spiritual affairs for the NPP flagbearer across Ghana.

Present at the event were NPP gurus such as Dr. Amoako Tuffour, Cecelia Abena Dapaah, ex-Bantama MP, Rebecca Akufo Addo, Nana Yaw, Amasaman-Drobo Constituency Chairman of the NPP.

All attendants of the programme which started at 8:00pm and closed around 4:00am, held Bibles and candles as prayers were said for God to intervene for the truth to prevail in the NPP’s court matter.

Nana Akufo-Addo after the prayer session assured the kids that he would not hesitate to accept the results of the Supreme Court, stressing that he is a peace-loving person so he respects the law.

He said he decided to dash to the Supreme Court to contest the results of the 2012 polls because of his respect for the law, expressing hope that victory would come his way.

Nana Akufo-Addo assured the kids that if he wins the case in court and becomes President, he will put in policies and mechanisms to ensure a better future for them.

He thanked Andy Owusu for his continual efforts including marching on the streets and organizing prayer sessions across Ghana to help him (Nana Addo) win the court case.

Nana Yaw, the Amasaman-Drobo NPP Constituency Chairman, financed the travelling of the kids selected from across Ghana to Nana Akufo-Addo’s house in Accra.

Andy Owusu in his succinct remarks said he was sure Nana Akufo-Addo won the 2012 polls and that the EC twisted facts to give power to the NDC, hence his efforts to help Nana Addo get justice.

He noted that the prayer sessions and other events being organized by him would not be a nine-day wonder, promising to do his best to ensure that Nana Addo was declared winner in court.
