Students Loan To Be Increased

Ghana’s Ministry of Education will soon review upward,the current value of the Students loan, which stands at one million cedis ($150). This follows discussions between the Ministry of Education and representatives of the National Union of Ghana Students as well as the Ghana National Union of Polytechnic Students.

A proposal on the outcome of the discussions will be presented before cabinet for further deliberations after which it will be laid before parliament for approval.

Minister for Education, Professor Christopher Ameyaw Akumfi says the Ministry is aware of difficulties students face.
