Student stabbed over girlfriend

DAILY GUIDE has gathered that a final year student of Gyampomani D/A Junior High School (JHS), Kwasi Reidorf, popularly known as Shatta, has stabbed a 17-year-old JHS leaver, Godfrey Yaw Apraku, at Akyem Hemang in the Fanteakwa District of the Eastern Region.

According to reports, the incident took place on Tuesday after the two communities played a friendly football game on Sunday.

Kwasi Reidorf, who is currently on the run as gathered, accused the victim of instigating a player of Hemang to bring him down during the match on Sunday after the two had engaged in a quarrel over a lady (name withheld) whom, according to reports, is dating the victim.

The source indicated that the rivals were separated by the supporters on the field and thought every hatchet had been buried.

But the following day, Reidorf laid ambush and stabbed Godfrey with a kitchen knife on his neck on his return from an errand.

However, the suspect after engaging in the act ran away and left the victim to his fate.

A neighbour in the area who spotted the victim shouting for help on his return from his farm rushed him to Koforidua Central Government Hospital, where he is currently on admission and receiving treatment.
