Strike action leads to many stranded passengers

Techiman(BAR), March 2, GNA – Hundreds of passengers were stranded in several towns in Brong Ahafo on Monday following the nation-wide industrial action by workers of Metro Mass Transport Company. The passengers who included teachers, traders, students and farmers were stranded in Techiman, Wenchi, Kintampo and Sunyani.

A driver of the company told GNA that their action was in demand for salary increase to correspond to their counterparts with the State Transport Corporation.
