Street naming 70% complete at Sagnarigu

The Sagnarigu District Assembly has named about 70 per cent of streets and roads within its jurisdiction for easy identification and speed up development of the District.

Most of the streets and roads within the assembly maintained their existing names.

Mr Alhassan Mohammed Sorugudoo, the District Chief Executive for Sagnarigu, led officials and Assembly Members of the District to hang the names on poles erected at various junctions showing the names of the streets and roads.

The Street Naming and Property Addressing (SNPA) system in the Sagnarigu District was a joint exercise between the assembly and the Tamale Metro since the assembly was carved out of the Tamale Metropolis.

Mr Sorugudoo said the SNPA was not an event but a process and assured that the District would soon complete the exercise.
