STREET LIGHTS FOR EFFIDUASE

An eleven point seven million cedi streetlights project has been commissioned at Effiduase near Koforidua. Funds for the project were donated by members of the Effiduase Mma Fekuo in Accra and Tema. Speaking at the function, the New Juabeng Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Emmanuel Adu Boateng, commended members of the association for their determination to help speed up the development of their town. He announced that the Municipal Assembly has selected 16 Communities for a street lighting projects. Mr. Adu Boateng urged the people to pay their taxes promptly to enable the Assembly to implement more development projects in the district. The MP for New Juabeng North, Mr. Hackman Owusu Agyeman, called for the intensification of the self-help activities of the people to help develop the area. This is because no government can provide all the needs of its people without their active participation. Mr. Owusu Agyeman donated one million cedis to support the funding of other projects in the area. The Secretary of the Effiduase Mma Fekuo, Commander Kwame Owusu Banahene, said the provision of water closet places of convenience is next on the list of development projects.
