Strange metal falls from the sky at Assakai

Assakai (W/R), April 27, GNA — The residents of Assakai, a suburb of Takoradi, were gripped with fear when a strange metal-like substance from the sky fell in the town.

The Kwesimintsim District Commander of Police, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ayamga Aklogo Yakubu told the GNA in Takoradi that, a strange metal-like substance blasted in the sky and fell in the neighbourhood of Assaikai around 08:00 hours, but no one was injured.

He said an eyewitness reported the strange metal substance to the Kwesiminstim Police, who dispatched some police personnel to the community.

DSP Yakubu said the police has taken the object to the Second Infantry Battalion (2 BN Barracks) at Apremdo for onward transportation to the appropriate quarters for examination to verify the true content of the object.
