Stop malicious and vicious allegations – Otiko Djaba

NPP National Women’s Organizer, Otiko Afisa Djaba has issued a stern warning to the party’s aspirants not to use backbiting and vilification as tools to get their way into leadership positions.

She admonished the party faithfuls and leaders to be decorous in their campaign messages and not seek to undermine their opponents with abusive language.

Addressing the issues regarding the infamous factionalism in the NPP, Otiko Djaba urged the party leaders as well as the aspirants to uphold the tenets of the party and seek first the interest of the NPP. To her, the party’s integrity should be looked at and upheld by the candidates.

She bemoaned the culture where candidates fire salvos at one another in the heat of events prior to elections because, to her, such behaviour makes it difficult for them to reconcile after the elections elapse.

“Anybody who is engaging in malicious and vicious allegations and propaganda must stop so that we go to the elections with one accord. That we’re going to elect those who will be most effective and adding values to the fortunes of NPP, come 2016, so that immediately afterwards, we can easily reconcile and go back to campaigning more efficiently,” she advised.
