Stop discussing homosexuality before it takes over Ghana – Omari Wadie warns

Aspiring National Vice Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Omari Wadie has cautioned Ghanaians to be wary of their actions on the continuous discussion of issues relating to homosexuality in the country.

According to him, the more Ghanaians keep discussing the issues of gayism or lesbianis it will bolster the quest of gay/lesbian right activists to push for their rights to be upheld in the country.

Omari Waddie gave this caution on the ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ show hosted by Kwame Afrifa Mensah on Accra-based Happy FM.

“The more Ghanaians continue to discuss issues of gayism it will rekindle the quest of gay right activists to continue to push the agenda for their sexual preference to be accepted in the Ghanaians cultural settings” he said.

“In Ghana we take things for granted by promoting and projecting gayism which will play up in our face a time to come” he cautioned.

He said the fact Ghanaians spend time discussing these issues when it comes up means the citizenry are making room for it. Wadie noted that gay right activists are watching and listening to the debate and may start setting the agenda to favour their actions.

“If we don’t take measures to fight against these emerging trends in the society it will catch up with us in the future.

“The best action Christians and the Muslim must take is to stop discussing these issues on various platforms in the country,” he posited.
