Stop condemning Rev Owusu Bempah – Ms Aboagye

Ms Esther Aboagye, Progressive Peoples Party (PPP) parliamentary candidate in the 2012 election for Agona East, has called on Ghanaians to stop persecuting and condemning Reverend Isaac Owusu-Bempah (Pictured) for prophesying that President John Dramani Mahama and other top personalities would die this year.

She declared that the continuing vilification of the Founder and head Pastor of the Glorious Word Ministry International would not help the unity and prosperity of the country.

Addressing a press conference at Agona Nsaba, Ms Aboagye, who is also a prophetess, said church leaders should rather come together to pray against any evil or calamity.

She said coming out to chastise him for revealing the prophecy would go a long way to disturb the peace and stability the country was enjoying as a beacon of Africa democracy.

Ms Aboagye admitted that the prophecy maybe false, but it must be tackled in a real perspective instead of raining insults and other hash words on him by some bishops of churches and leaders of political parties, and other social commentators.

She said it would be appropriate for President Mahama and his Cabinet to invite Rev. Owusu- Bempah together with highly powered men of God to pray over it.

According to Ms Aboagye, some political leaders resorted to occultism and other principalities in both 2008 and 2012 elections, which had brought unwanted calamities on the nation.

She said plans were far advanced to lead a crusade with the Christian Council of Ghana and other charismatic churches to expose false pastors using the gospel to cheat.

Ms Aboagye called on Ghanaians not to joke with prophecies because not all of them were false.
