Step up the fight against corruption

A former Chaplain of the Kumasi Academy Senior High School (SHS), the Reverend Solomon Peter Antwi-Adjei, has called for intensification of the battle against corruption.

He said all should accept to do their bit to expose corrupt acts and bring the perpetrators to justice.

There should be firm and decisive actions against all offenders, regardless of position or political connection.

He called on the Church to use the pulpit to rally the people to rise up against the social canker that was taking firm hold in the society.

The Rev Antwi-Adjei was launching six books authored by Professor Rev James Yamoah, a Lecturer at the Ghana Christian University College.

“Amazing Grace”, “Always Ready”, “Suffer to Gain”, “Pace Setters”, “Yes You Can”, “A Model for Hebrew-English Translation and Application” are their titles.

They are meant to help transform society by inspiring the people to uphold the values of integrity, discipline, hard work and decency.

The Rev Antwi-Adjei praised the author for his contribution towards the restoration of sanity to the society.

Prof Yamoah said he took six years to write the books, the pages of which range between 170 and 300.

He said he was confident that the books would help to raise the moral threshold and check aberrant behavior, particularly among the youth.

He appealed for more support for local authors.

Mr Fred Effah Yeboah, General Manager of the Presbyterian Health Services, Brong Ahafo Region, who chaired the function, urged students to cultivate reading habit to enhance their knowledge.
