State of the Nation’s Address was promising – AFAG

Accra, Feb. 20, GNA – The Alliance For Accountable Governance (AFAG), a pressure group that acts as a check on various governments, said on Friday the President’s state of the nation’s address was insightful, wide ranging, well thought and promising. A statement signed by Mr Arnold Boateng, Secretary of the group said: “we are particularly pleased by his excellence’s promise to institute the MPs development fund, to attach national service personnel as research assistants to MPs and his pro-poor intervention programme for the Central and three Northern Regions.”

AFAG however, cautioned President Mills to thread cautiously with maximum circumspection in handling the Dagbon chieftaincy crisis. The group expressed hope that, the Atta-Mills led administration would make Ghana a better place for everybody. 20 Feb. 09
