Stand for peace – Radio Peace Ambassador urges youth

A lecturer and a broadcast journalist, Mr. Desmond Lamptey has asked the youth to promote peace wherever they are especially as the 2016 general elections draw near.

The host of “Country on Class” on Accra-based radio – Class FM uttered these words when he addressed the 2016 PeaceJam Slam organised by the West Africa Center for Peace Foundation held on Saturday at St. Kizito Conference hall on the theme, “youth- the beacon for a peaceful election”.

Mr. Lamptey took the young people through an exercise that made them see the relevance of peace and how they as youths can help maintain the peace we enjoy as a country.

He asked them to tell him what they wanted to do in future and which of them could realize his or her dream if war broke up in the country.

Mr. Lamptey’s invitation by the West Africa Center for Peace Foundation to speak at the PeaceJam Slam is in recognition of his contribution to peace building on radio.
