St. Paul’s riot: Students to pay GHC90 each for damaging sch properties

Authorities of the St. Paul’s Senior High School at Denu in the Volta region have surcharged each student a fee of GHC90 as cost of damages caused to individuals and school properties during the recent violent agitation by the students.

The campus riot led to the death of one student.

The fee is, however, subject to the approval of the Volta regional Director of Education.

The decision is among two other measures which were taken at an emergency Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) meeting on Friday.

The over 1,500 students are also expected to sign a bond of good behavior, which will be witnessed by their parents when school reopens Monday.
