St. Johns student commits suicide

Ishmael Kwesi Ayebi, 18, a student of Saint John’s Senior High School has committed suicide by hanging in his father’s sitting room at Daboase in the Wassa East District.

The body has been deposited at the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital morgue for autopsy while police investigations continue.

Inspector of Police Emmanuel Kofi Eyison, Daboase Station Master, confirmed the incident to the GNA on Monday.

He said the father of the deceased, Ambrose Ayebi, went to the house at 1200 hours and saw his son hanging

The Police could not state exactly what made him commit the act since he did not leave any suicide note.
