Spraying gang sprays 630 hectares

Goaso (B/A), Dec 5, GNA – A spraying gang in the Bibiani-Anwiaso-Bekwai District of the Western Region covered a total of 630 hectares of cocoa farms for 473 farmers at the last main crop season.

Speaking to Ghana News Agency in an interview, the District Chief Executive, Mr Kingsley Adjei Manu, said the mass cocoa spraying exercise was timely because it defeated host of caterpillar pests that attacked the cocoa pods.

He said the farming communities invaded by the pests were Nyameadom, Nzema-Nkwanta, Abokyhikrom and Bethlehem.
