The Former Trade Minister, one of many tipped to contest the NDC flagbearership position will follow the likes of Alban Bagbin and Sylvester Mensah.
Spio-Garbrah is a household name in Ghanaian politics as he has served as a Minister of Trade and Industry, Minister of Communications, Minister of Education and Acting Minister of Mines & Energy.
He also previously served as Ghana’s ambassador to the United States and Mexico .He is a former CEO of the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation (CTO) based in London.
The NDC has been torn apart by infighting and accusations and counter-accusations after the party’s humiliating defeat to the governing NPP.
