Special voting going on in Asante-Akim North

Konongo (Ash), Dec. 4, GNA – The Special Voting taking place at the Odumase Town Council Hall in the Asante-Akim North Constituency recorded 222 voters by 1255 hours out of the total number of 350 special voters, who were expected to cast their votes.

Mr Agyei Boame, the Presiding Officer at the Polling Station, told the GNA that the exercise started exactly at 0700 hours and that polling agents of New Patriotic Party (NPP) and National Democratic Congress (NDC) were present.

Four parliamentary candidates are vying for the seat and they include the incumbent Member of Parliament, Mr Kwadwo-Baah-Wiredu, who is the Minister of Education, Youth and Sports; Mr Isaac Atobrah for People’s National Convention (PNC), Mr Thomas Bonsu for National Democratic Congress (NDC) and Mr Kwabena Anarfi for the Convention People’s Party (CPP).
