Special Muslim students honour Bawumia

The Muslim Students in Special Schools have presented a citation in honour of Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for his support to them over the years.

The citation signed by Ibrahim Mustapha, the National Coordinator of Muslim Blind Students, read: “Congratulations on your numerous support you granted to Ghana students living with disabilities and thank you for helping to address the most pressing needs of students with disabilities.

“Our society faces the most challenging economic difficulties in our lifetime. Your volunteer service demonstrates the kind of commitment to uplift the society of students living with disabilities that move them a step closer to their great promise.

“I pray Allah’s abundant blessings upon you as he said in the noble Qur’an 2:261: ‘The charity of those who expand their wealth in the way of Allah may be likened to the grain of corn which produces seven and each year yields a hundred grains.’

“Thank you for your devotion to service and for doing all you could to shape a better tomorrow for students living with disabilities.”
