Special Forces not for elections – GAF

The Special Forces of the Ghana Armed Forces will have no role to play whatsoever in Friday’s elections or any other elections in Ghana, Director of Public Affairs of the Ghana Armed Forces has confirmed to XYZ News.

Col. Atintande M’Bawini says the Special Forces only exist to undertake very special operations which require their specially given skills.

Former President Kufuor recently raised concerns about a possible misuse of the Special Forces in Friday’s election.

But Col. Atintande M’Bawini in an interview with XYZ News said the Special Forces are not for Elections.

The Special Forces are not forces for elections, they are individual soldiers who have been special skills. Just in case we need them for certain roles.
