Speaker summons MPs for sitting on Thursday

Speaker of Parliament Edward Doe Adjaho has per Article 112 of the 1992 Constitution ordered the summon of all 275 members for an emergency sitting.

The sitting will be on Thursday, September 1. Issued over the week, the summon was issued also as per Order 38(1) of the Standing Orders of Parliament.

The sitting on Thursday is at 10:00am, according to a release from Parliament.

It is unclear what the deliberation will be but it is expected to tackle unfinished businesses of the Second Meeting of the Fourth Session of the Sixth Parliament of Ghana.

Parliament was adjourned sine die on Friday, July 29.
