South-Dayi Constituency of NPP adopts new business plan

Ho, Jan.16, GNA – The South-Dayi Constituency branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has adopted a two-year (2006-2008) business plan estimated at about 300 million cedis to make it self sufficient financially.

The plan involves floatation of a Welfare Trust Fund, a company to bid for revenue and toll collection contracts within the district, commercial transport operation, sachet water production, distribution and establishment of animal husbandry and fishing at Tongor-Dzemeni. In a statement issued to the Media at Ho, Efo Philipo Nyaho-Datti, Constituency Chairman of the party said it was important that the constituency engaged in profit-making activities to create employment for members while generating funds for their up-keep and for party activities.

It said a 17-member Board of Trustees has been established to raise funds and implement the plan. 16 Jan.06
