Son allegedly murders father in a fight

Hohoe, April 3 GNA – A domestic fight between father and son allegedly resulted in the death of the former, a 46-old-old farmer, Johnson Kofi Awumey of Gbi-Wegbe in the Hohoe Muncipality. Bright Awumey, 22, engaged his biological father in a fight after a domestic misunderstanding where he allegedly struck the deceased severally in the ribs, shoulder and wrist with an iron bar, sending him (father) comatose on Saturday.

The suspect then rushed the deceased to a herbalist but was pronounced dead. Confirming the incident, Mr Wilsom Kudze, Hohoe District Police Commander, said the body had been deposited at the Police Hospital for autopsy, while efforts were being made to apprehend the son who is believed had gone into hiding. 3 April 11
