Some 1,761 to sit for BECE in Bawku

Bawku (U/E), April 23, GNA – A total of 1,761 candidates have registered to sit the Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) in the Bawku municipality.

Out of this number 779 are girls and candidates from 41 basic schools are expected to write eight subjects at seven centres in the municipality.

Alhaji Ibrahim Kobilla, Officer in Charge of Exams at the Education Directorate, said materials needed for the smooth conduct of the exams were set.

He expressed the hope that with the assistance of supervisors, police officers and cooperation from candidates, the conduct of the examination in the municipality would be incident free.
