Soldiers wives give to female Prisoners in Ho

Ho, Dec. 18, GNA-Wives of soldiers of the 66 Artillery Regiment (Volta Barracks) at the weekend donated assorted items including bags of rice and gallons of cooking oil to the inmates of the Ho Female Prisons.

“Christmas season comes with love and we just want to share with our sisters here,” Mrs Barbara Amoah, Unit who presented the items on behalf of her colleagues said.

She exhorted the female Prisoners not to be discouraged by their present conditions but know that “once there is life, there is hope”.

Assistant Superintendent of Prisons Vicentia Hodor in charge of the Female Prisons said the donation was timely and would help put the inmates in the celebration mood and feel part of the larger society.
