Soldiers and wives in clean-up exercise

Ho, March 27, GNA- Officers and men of the 66th Artillery Regiment and their wives in Ho on Saturday undertook a four-hour clean-up exercise at the barracks and its environs.

They desilted choked drains and gutters, weeded the surroundings and removed cobwebs.

Major Seidu Abass, Officer Commanding the Regiment told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the exercise would be undertaken once every month to create and generate environmental cleanliness and consciousness among soldiers and their families.

He noted that a good and healthy environment is essential for combat readiness of soldiers.

Major Abass said the exercise would be extended to the civilian communities to promote military-cum-civil relationship.
