Soldier detained after shooting a Sprayer

A soldier of a joint Police /Military Patrol Team on Sunday shot dead Stephen Tetteh, 25, a Car-Sprayer, at Darkuman in Accra.

Military sources told the Ghana News Agency that Tetteh and a colleague were riding bicycles when they chanced upon the patrol team.

The soldier opened fire after an attempt to stop the two failed. The other colleague, however, fled the scene.

Lieutenant Colonel E. Nibo, Director of Public Relations, Ghana Armed Forces, confirmed the story, and added that the soldier had been placed in custody while investigations continue.
