Sofoline Interchange 74% complete

The Roads and Transport Minister, Mr. Inussah Fuseini, has inspected progress of work on the Sofoline Interchange in Kumasi.

The Resident Engineer of the project, Mr. Ato Badu Prah, stated that the interchange was 74 percent complete, and that the first phase would be completed by the end of October.

According to him, the second phase of the project will include the Tanoso-Abuakwa stretch, and an interchange at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).

The Engineer further revealed that a nine-metre median had been reserved for the future expansion of the road. Mr. Prah said the only issue impeding the swift completion of the Sofoline interchange was availability of funds.

The Minister told journalists, when he inspected the project recently, that he was impressed with the level of work.
