A resident of “Community 5,000”, a slum behind the Melcom Plaza, Tema Community One, was on Sunday stabbed to death by another squatter.
The body of the deceased, Ibrahim Issaka, has been deposited at the Tema General Hospital awaiting transfer to the Police Hospital for autopsy.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Juliana Obeng, Tema Regional Police Public Affairs Officer, said Kweku David, 20, and his accomplice Abubakai Rabiatu, 29, are in police custody.
ASP Obeng said David had a misunderstanding with the victim, which resulted in a fight, during which Issaka was stabbed in the left breast with a knife.
She said Issaka, who was immediately rushed to the Tema General Hospital, was pronounced dead on arrival.
