Six-unit teacher’s quarters inaugurated at Oyibi

Oyibi, Nov 12, GNA – Mr Samuel Evans Ashong Narh, the Tema Municipal Chief Executive, on Friday inaugurated a six-unit teachers bungalow sponsored by the USAID under the Quality Improvement for Primary School Programme (QUIP).

Under the QUIP programme USAID provided six-unit classroom blocks for three villages in each of the 110 Districts and provided in-service training to teachers.

Mr Narh said Oyibi opted for a teacher’s bungalow because it already has a primary school and accommodation for teachers was their major problem.

Mrs Lucy Kwapong, the Tema Municipal Director of Education, said the accommodation would enable the teachers to be punctual at school.
