Twifo Praso, (C/R) Dec. 30, GNA- Six basic schools in the Twifo-Hemang-Lower-Denkyira district scored zero percent in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) held this year. They are the Twifo No 1 D/C JSS, Kyeaboso D/C JSS, Ashire D/C Jss, Bonsaho D/C Jss, Juabeng D/C JSS and Abeka Nkwanta D/C JSS. Mr Samuel Yaw Agyeibi-Kessie, the district chief executive made this known at the general meeting of the assembly at Twifo Praso on Thursday. He regretted that inspite of the assembly’s support to improve the quality of education in the district, some schools continue to perform badly.

The DCE stressed that the best legacy parents can bequeath to their children was education, and therefore echoed calls on parents to give priority to their children’s education.

He said they should in this regard, take advantage of the capitation grant to send their children to school and to monitor their performances.
