Six persons to contest Volta Region’s slot for Council of State

Six persons including a woman have filed nominations to contest the Volta region’s slot on the Council of State.

They are God Is Good Amegashie, a social analyst, Nana Obornie Sebewie V, a traditional ruler and Togbega Tsedze Atakora VII, also a traditional ruler.

The rest are; Mrs Lydia Aku Adajawah, a teacher, Togbui Binah Lawluvi, a traditional ruler and a legal practitioner and Mr Asamoa-Tutu Austin an architect.

Madam Laurentia Kpatakpa, Volta Regional Director of the Electoral Commission (EC) told the GNA that the six were the only candidates to file at the close of nominations Tuesday, January 22, 2013. The EC has fixed February 06 for the election.
