Six lotto firms banned…From using DNL results

n Accra High Court yesterday ordered six private weekly lotto operators to put an immediate stop to the use of winning numbers drawn by the Department of National Lotteries (DNL) for their operations on Saturdays.

The affected lotto operators are Rambel Enterprises, Asare Original Pay All, Last Chance Lotto, Victory Ten , Shaguara Lotto and Wasab. It awarded one million cedis against the six respondents.

The court was giving its ruling in the case in which the Attorney-General’s Department and the Ministry of Finance sought a declaration that under the National Weekly Lotto Amendment Law, PNDCL, 233, the respondents were not entitled to operate on winning numbers drawn by the DNL.
