Six communities in Atwima show gratitude

Nkawie (Ash), Dec 16, GNA- Six farming communities in the Atwima District have expressed gratitude to the Atwima District Assembly and the District Directorate of Education for approving of a Junior Secondary School (JSS) in the area.

The communities are Kwankyeabo, Asamang, Amofakrom, Twenedaso, Gogoikrom and Kojobenkrom.

A statement signed by Mr Justice Atta Mfum, assemblyman for the area, said the opening of the school had greatly relieved pupils in the area of the problem of walking long distances to attend school after their primary education.

The statement said the people are prepared to contribute towards the provision of infrastructure for the completion of the entire school block.

It noted that seven pupils who completed primary six in the area refused to walk the distance to Kwanfinfi and Anyinamso to attend the JSS there and therefore, had their education terminated.
